Carlyle Studies Annual is an international journal devoted to the life and times of Thomas and Jane Welsh Carlyle and their circle.

The editors welcome articles not only on the lives and writings of the Carlyles, but on other nineteenth-century figures, both major and minor, as authors and correspondents. They also welcome studies of Victorian social, cultural, political, and intellectual history, with particular emphasis on letters and letter-writing.

CSA is a member of the Council of Learned Journals.

Double-spaced manuscripts should be approximately 6500 words or less and should be submitted in MLA style. Please send two copies and an electronic copy in Microsoft Word to Brent E. Kinser, Department of English, 305 Coulter Hall, Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, NC 28723 USA.
